How to submit a Blogger blog sitemap to Google by using Google Webmaster Tool

Adding your blog sitemap to Google is an important task as it greatly helps Google search engine knows your blog's structure better. This article will describe how to submit your Google blog sitemap to Google by using Google Webmaster Tool.

Step 1: Login using Google Account
 Login to your Google Webmaster Tools using your Google Account (click here to go to the Google Webmaster page).

Step 2: Go to your Blog dashboard
If you have not added your blog/website to Google Webmaster Tools, click here to see how.

In the home page of Google Webmaster Tools, click Manage link in Sites tab to go to your Blog Dashboard. Or you can choose to click your blog name under Sites tab.


Step 3: Submit your Blog itemap to Google
Click Sitemaps in Site configuration and then click the Submit a Sitemap button.

Add atom.xml?redirect=flase&max-results=100 or rss.xml?redirect=flase&max-results=100 at the end of your Blogger blog address as in the following image.


If your blog has more than 100 articles, then add an additional sitemap url

     atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=101&max-results=100

If it has more than 200 posts, then add one more sitemap url

     atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=201&max-results=100

If there are more than 300 posts in your blog, then add one more sitemap

     atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=301&max-results=100

Your blog sitemap has been successfully submitted to Google search engine!
