How to create a free website with Google Sites

Building a website is one of the fastest ways to be online. Google Sites can help create websites as simple  as using the mouse and typing in the content. This tutorial will describe simple steps in building a website with Google Sites.

Visit Google Sites at: https://sites.google.com and sign in with your Google account.

Click 'CREATE' button. Then choose a template that suits your needs. Web templates contain pre-defined styles, layouts, navigation feature and therefore let you quickly start your website. There are many quality pre-built templates that can be used in Google Sites. You can click ‘Browse the gallery for more’ link to reveal other templates

Once you chose a template you cannot change to a new one without starting from scratch. So be careful!

Give your website a name. Your website url may be too long to be remembered: https://sites.google.com/site/your_website_name

However, it's easy to overcome this disadvantage by purchasing a domain name and point to your website. There are many companies out there that sell domains.

Type the verification code and then click 'CREATE SITE' button to create a new website. You can then
