How to increase your free dropbox account up to 16GB?

Dropbox is an easy to use file sync and sharing application. After registering for a free dropbox account, we can get 2GB free or 2.25GB or 2.5GB depending on whether we create an account via dropbox's home page or invited by friend having a standard free dropbox account or having a free student dropbox account.

However, the 2GB - 2.5GB is very limited. There are simple steps that can help you increase your free account up to 16GB:

1. Register and create a free dropbox account via links invited by friends having student dropbox accounts so that you can get 500MB free bonus storage space. You can use mine.

2. Visit https://www.dropbox.com/edu and enter your .edu email address. Sign in your .edu email address just entered and click the link sent by dropbox. By doing this your free dropbox account's maximum capacity has been doubled to 16GB and everytime you invite a friend you will get 500MB instead of 250MB!

3. Go to the "Get Started" Tab in the Dropbox website to earn another 250MB free bonus storage space.

4. Visit https://www.dropbox.com/free to earn another 640MB free bonus storage space by doing 5 small activities. Completing each activity gives you 128MB free bonus storage space:

  • Connect your Twitter account with Dropbox - 128MB
  • Connect your Facebook accout with Dropbox - 128MB
  • Follow @Dropbox on Twitter - 128MB
  • Tell us why you love Dropbox - 128MB
  • Tweet about Dropbox for more free space! - 128MB
5. Signing your dropbox account https://www.dropbox.com/free and visit https://www.dropbox.com/referrals. You can then enter your friends' email addresses, post the invite link to facebook. Every friend click the referring link and create a dropbox account both you and your friend get a 250MB or 500MB if you completed step 2 above.
